Burlesque Workshops @ Aeriform Arts

 

Gowns Gloves & Boas:

Sunday May 20th, 3pm

Utilizing “The philosophy of the tease” students learn an elegant burlesque routine with an elegant gown, gloves and a feather boa.

WEAR: Come in yoga/exercise gear for a quick warm up. 

BRING: (bring dress with zipper, opera length gloves and boa will be provided, bring your own if you have them) and a whole lot of attitude!

$15 pre-registration. $18 day of.

Strip Outta Your Closet:

Sunday May 27th, 3pm

This class is designed to “ease you into the tease.” The striptease stops the at your bra or tank top and shorts. Utilizing “The philosophy of the tease” students learn a routine with a basic outfit any woman already has in her own closet, a button down shirt and pencil skirt.

WEAR: shorts and a tank top or camisole

BRING: button down shirt, skirt with a zipper, and high heels

$15 pre-registration. $18 day of.

Lily LaRue is a burlesque performer, pin-up model, and actress. Since starting her burlesque career spring 2004 in Detroit’s underground performing art scene, Lily has blossomed into a sensational burlesque performer, and teacher.  Her performances credits include The Rothbury Festival, Torch with a Twist vaudeville variety show, International erotic art exhibition: The Dirty Show, and Theatre Bizarre. Special guest appearances include: Monday Night Tease (L.A.), The Detroit Dizzy Dames, Detroit Fire Guild, (Miss Exotic World 2010) Roxi Dlite’s Cabaret Theatre (Windsor, Ontario), and Eve’s Parlor (Chicago).  Lily has a wide range of acts from classical fan dances, to rock, metal, and even honky-tonk character shows. She is the creator and instructor of classes teaching women confidence and empowerment though learning classic burlesque striptease.
